Sunny Hollow Montessori does not want financial considerations to be the/a major obstacle to a child and family being able to attend our school. Each year the Board of Trustees designates funds to be used for for Financial Aid. Applications for assistance are processed by Student Services for Financial Aid, a unit of the National Association of Independent Schools and reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee on a need-based, case-by-case basis. The following process ensures that Sunny Hollow Montessori’s financial aid committee tracks, reviews and awards properly and efficiently.
We prioritize financial aid as follows:
To be considered for Financial Aid a student must be currently enrolled or have made an application for admission to Sunny Hollow.
Returning family Financial Aid deadline is January 19th
New family Financial Aid deadline is February 19th
A complete application includes the following:
Fully completed Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online at sssandtadsfa.force.com/
Uploaded copy of the most recent Federal 1040 tax forms, along with schedules, W-2 and/or 1099s.
In cases of divorce or separation, both parents are required to apply. Each parent should complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) and list the other parent in the ‘Other Parent’ section of the application. SSS will link the applications via the child’s name and that ‘Other Parent’ information.
All adults of the household and related information should be reported on the SSS form, including step-parents, co-habitating partners, etc.
Early Learning Scholarships are offered by the State of Minnesota and administered by Parent Aware. Eligible families may receive up to $7500/year for each child to attend a program rated 3- or 4-stars by Parent Aware. Visit this Parent Aware website for more information. Sunny Hollow is a Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provider and is registered with various counties throughout the metro area. Learn more about this program here.
Tuition Assistance applications are made on line here. Priority is given to applications from returning households. All households must apply each year to be considered.
Sunny Hollow Montessori offers a sibling discount with a savings of ten percent off the lowest tuition amount.
