Kate joined the Sunny Hollow community in 2012 and has worked in various Casa level roles; most recently as the Guide in Casa River. Her education background includes a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, an AMI primary diploma from the Montessori Center of Minnesota and an MAEd in Montessori Education through Saint Catherine University. She loves how children thrive in Montessori growing in independence, making choices and experiencing joy in learning!
She lives in Minneapolis with her husband Derek, two daughters Maggie and Stella (graduates of Sunny Hollow!), and adorable dog Leo. Kate enjoys reading memoirs, floating on the lake, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
